What is Botox?
Botox cosmetic injections are an FDA approved procedure that temporarily reduces muscle activity. When muscle activity is reduced, the wrinkles caused by those muscles will also be reduced.
How soon will I see results?
The experience of each patient will differ. Some people will begin to see results after 48 hours but it will take 14 days to see full results.
How long does Botox last?
Results will vary from person to person, but on average, Botox will last about 3-4 months.
What areas of the face can be treated with Botox?
The areas of the face that are FDA approved for Botox cosmetic treatment are the forehead, frown lines (between the eye brows) and crow's feet.
Is there any downtime with Botox?
There's no downtime with Botox, which means you can get on with your day as normal. However, you might experience some redness or pin prick marks at the site of injection.
How many units will I need?
The number of units needed will vary from person to person. On average, the forehead uses 10-20 units, the glabella (between the eyebrows) uses 10-20 units, and the crow's feet use 12-24 units.
